This policy explains what personal data SafariEA collects, why, and your rights over it.
1. Data we collect
- Account data: name, email, phone, country, and a securely hashed password.
- Booking data: tours booked, travel dates, number of guests, and amounts.
- Payment data: processed by our payment providers — we store transaction references and status, not full card numbers.
- Operator data: for operators, business details and verification documents you upload.
2. How we use it
- To process bookings and payments, and to pay operators their share.
- To verify operators and prevent fraud and abuse.
- To send booking confirmations and service communications.
3. Sharing
We share only the necessary booking details with the operator delivering your tour, and with payment processors to complete transactions. We do not sell your personal data.
4. Payment processors
Payments are handled by regulated third-party processors (e.g. mobile-money aggregators, banks, and card/PayPal providers where available). Their handling of your data is governed by their own privacy policies.
5. Data retention & security
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. Passwords are hashed; access to data is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
6. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us. You can change your password at any time from your account settings.
7. Cookies
We use only essential cookies required to keep you signed in and to operate the platform.
